๐ŸˆMarket Specific Fees

Kalshi makes money by charging a transaction fee on the expected earnings on the contract. The complete Fee Schedule, and the math behind the fees, are posted at the bottom of our website - or you can find the link here.

Some markets have fees that are different from those of other markets. This is often due to special events (such as the election, awards ceremony, or large sporting championship).

Kansas City vs Philadelphia Football

For the event with the ticker KXSB-25, both โ€œtakerโ€ and โ€œmakerโ€ orders will incur fees upon a match, so an identical fee will be paid by the following trades

  • Orders that are immediately matched with orders resting on the order book

  • The resting orders that they match.

The fees for this market are $0.01 per contract. These fees are to make sure we can offer these markets on brokerages, but long term, weโ€™re planning to make things more maker-friendly. We will not be charging taker fees with the broker(s) we initially integrate with which is why we choose to implement a maker fee. This only applies to the Super Bowl market and we do not expect these fees to be the same in future iterations.
