What should I do if I think there has been unauthorized access to my account?
If you suspect unauthorized access to your Kalshi account, take the following steps:
Change your password right away from your account settings. If you cannot log in, use the "Forgot Password" flow https://kalshi.com/password-forgot.
Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if you haven't already. This adds an extra layer of security to your account.
Contact Kalshi Support at [email protected] and let us know what happened. Include details such as when you noticed the issue and any transactions you don't recognize.
Our team will review the information you provide and take appropriate action.
Kalshi systems are secure. Account issues may originate from scams or phishing attempts outside of Kalshi systems. Please be cautious when interacting with messages, emails, or requests online that claim to be from Kalshi or another financial institution, or that ask for account information. As a reminder, do not share your verification codes with anyone. Kalshi employees will never ask for this code.
How do I report unauthorized transactions?
If you see deposits, withdrawals, or trades on your account that you did not authorize, contact support. Please provide:
The specific transaction(s) you don't recognize
The approximate date and time you last accessed your account normally
Whether you have shared your login credentials or verification codes with anyone
What happens after I report an issue?
Once you report a security concern, our team will review your account and may take steps such as temporarily restricting activity, requesting additional information, or other actions as appropriate. For more information, please refer to Section R of the Kalshi Member Agreement.
How can I protect my account?
Use a strong, unique password that you don't use on other sites.
Enable 2FA for an extra layer of protection.
Never share your verification codes with anyone. Kalshi employees will never ask for your password or one-time codes.
Be cautious of phishing - only log in at kalshi.com. Kalshi employees will never ask you to send money or crypto to "verify" your account.
Note: If someone contacts you claiming to be from Kalshi and asks for your login credentials, verification codes, or asks you to send funds, this is a scam. Report it to [email protected] immediately.
