What is the CF Benchmarks BRTI?

The CF Benchmarks Bitcoin Real-Time Index (BRTI) is an institutional-grade spot price benchmark for Bitcoin. It aggregates prices from multiple regulated cryptocurrency exchanges and updates every second. It is widely used across regulated derivatives markets globally.

Kalshi uses the BRTI as the reference price for funding rate calculations and settlement. When you see 'oracle price' or 'index price' in the product, this is the BRTI.
