Debit Card Withdrawals

How to withdraw

  1. Navigate to the "Manage funds" tab.

  2. Select "Withdraw from Kalshi."

  3. Select "Debit Card" as the withdrawal method.

  4. Choose the debit card you wish to withdraw to. You can also withdraw to a card linked via Apple Pay or Google Pay.

  5. Complete the transaction.

Funds typically arrive back to your card within a few hours, though processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer. If your bank cannot accept the payout, the funds will be returned to your Kalshi balance, usually within a few hours.

Important information

  • No fees for debit card withdrawals.

  • Debit card withdrawals are available for both US and international users. US withdrawals are processed through our payment processor; international withdrawals are processed through Checkout.- Debit card withdrawals may be temporarily unavailable if your account or card is undergoing a compliance review by the payment processor (e.g., Stripe). These reviews typically take 3–5 business days to complete.

  • Withdrawals to cards issued in certain countries or regions (e.g., Puerto Rico) may not be supported due to payment processor limitations.

Alternative Withdrawal Methods

If debit card withdrawals are not supported, fail repeatedly, or are delayed due to payment-processor compliance reviews, Kalshi offers several alternative methods:

  • ACH Transfers: Direct transfers to your bank account.

  • Crypto Withdrawals: Where available, crypto withdrawals can be a faster alternative.

  • Wire Transfers: Suitable for amounts greater than $500,000.

  • PayPal or Venmo: Quick and convenient options for eligible users.

  • There is a daily withdrawal limit that is personalized to your account and increases with account activity. Kalshi places temporary security holds on deposited funds to ensure compliance and security. The availability of funds for withdrawal depends on the deposit method:

  • Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay: Funds become available for withdrawal once the deposit settles to the same method, or two days after settlement if withdrawing to a different method.

  • ACH: Funds become available two business days after the ACH deposit settles. ACH settlement itself typically takes 3–5 business days.

  • PayPal, Venmo, Wire Transfers: No holds typically apply.

  • Crypto: A short hold may apply. Only the deposited principal is subject to holds—any realized profits are withdrawable immediately. Check the withdrawal screen in the app or website to see when your funds will be available.

Debit card withdrawals may be temporarily unavailable if your account or card is undergoing a compliance review by the payment processor (e.g., Stripe). These reviews are initiated by the processor and typically take 3–5 business days to complete. During this time, you can periodically attempt the withdrawal or use an alternative withdrawal method if funds are needed sooner.

Card withdrawals can also be declined by your card issuer or bank for their security or internal policy reasons. Kalshi cannot help further with these declines, as they are controlled entirely on the bank or card issuer's side. We can suggest you contact your bank for support directly or check your mobile banking app for any notifications, then you can retry the withdrawal again over the next 24 hours once it is resolved. If a withdrawal is declined, the funds remain in your Kalshi account and are available immediately. For further troubleshooting, you can:

  • Check Your Mobile Banking App: Review any alerts or restrictions in your banking app that may be blocking the transaction.

  • Contact Your Bank: Reach out to your bank or card issuer to understand why the transaction was declined and request them to lift any restrictions. Provide the exact withdrawal amount and reference "KALSHI" as the transaction descriptor.

  • Retry the Withdrawal: After resolving any issues with your bank, attempt the withdrawal again.

Cash App is not a supported withdrawal method on Kalshi at this time, and can only be used for deposits. This is a limitation we cannot override. To withdraw funds, please use one of the supported payout methods available in your account.
