How to Deposit Funds via Real-Time Payments (RTP)

Deposit U.S. dollars via real-time payments (RTP), which arrive within minutes.

Real-time payments (RTP) let you deposit funds from a U.S. bank that participates in The Clearing House Real-Time Payments network.

Sender Needs to Know

Your sending bank account name MUST MATCH your name on Kalshi.

Most users are Direct Members - use the Direct Members account. Use the FCMs account only if you are a registered Futures Commission Merchant clearing through Kalshi.

Message to Recipient / Memo (REQUIRED)

The Reason for Payment / Message to Recipient / Memo MUST INCLUDE your unique Kalshi wire code. Payments without the correct code will be delayed or returned.

  • Log in to Kalshi → Menu → Transfers → Wire transfer → MESSAGE TO RECIPIENT / MEMO. Your code has 9 digits and starts with "kal."

Can't find "Message to Recipient / Memo"? Depending on your bank, it may be labeled as: Note, Description, Special Instructions, or Further Credit.

When Funds Arrive

For incoming RTP, expect funds to arrive within minutes on the day they are sent. If funds arrive during end-of-day processing, your available balance may not update immediately.

  • Kalshi does not add fees for RTP deposits, but your bank may charge its own fees.
